BUDDHIST PILGRIMAGE TOUR 09 Days / 8 Hotel Nights Visit - Varanasi 1N + Bodhgaya 2N + Patna 1N + Kushinagar 1N + Lumbini 1N+ Balrampur(Saravasti) 1N + Lucknow 1N Day 01: Varanasi Arrive at Varanasi Meeting and assistance on arrival transfer to hotel, P.M. excursion to Sarnath - the buried Buddhist city where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Day 02: Varanasi – Bodhgaya (240 km) Early morning boat excursion on the holy river Ganges to see the bathing ghats and cremation site, Later leave by surface for Bodhgaya. On arrival check – in at the hotel. Day 03: Bodhgaya Full day city sightseeing tour, Bodhgaya in the state of Bihar reckoned as the most important Buddhist Pilgrimage centre, is the place where Lord Sakyamuni Gautam Buddha entered into meditation after being moved by the sufferings of mankind. Then there is Chaukramana the jewel walk where it is belived that the Buddha strolled while in deep through. The Maha Bhodhi where prince Siddhartha attained enlighternment under Bodhi tree and became Buddha. Day 04: Bodhgaya – Patna (180 km) AM leave by surface for patna, Enroute visiting Rajgir and Nalanda. Rajgir is as site of great Sanctity and significance for Buddhists. The Gridhakuta Hill in Rajgir was the seat from where Buddha deliverd many of his sermons. Nalanda is one of the oldest university of the world. Day 05: Patna – Kushinagar (253 km) AM leave by surface for Kushinagar, Enroute visiting Vaishali at Kolhua, Lord Buddha deliverd his last sermon. On arrival in kushinagar check in at the hotel. Later city sightseeing tour visiting Mahaparinivana Temple commemorating the place of the great decease with a reclining statue of Lord Buddha, Rambhar Stupa where Lord Buddha was Cremated. Day 06: Kushinagar – Lumbini (173 km) AM Leave by surface for Lumbini. On arrival check in at the hotel, PM Visit the site where Budda was born 2500 years ago. Day 07: Lumbini – Balrampur (183 km) AM Leave by surface for Balrampur on arriaval check in at hotel. Later visit Sarasvati where Lord Buddha Spent 24 rainy season. Day 08: Balrampur – Lucknow (153 Km) AM leave by surface for Lucknow on arrival transfer to hotel, Later visit Dr. Ambedkar Park, Buddha Park, Emamwada, Bhulbhulaya and Parivartan Sq. Day 09: Departure from Lucknow. Departure for Lucknow railway station to board train/Flight for your destination with wonderful memories.
